ACTIVITIES

October 20, 2011:       CTL on Tour—E-Portfolio presented by Professor Ross Flek and Professor Catherine Lewis

November 30, 2011:   E-Portfolio—Faculty:  Professor Sandra Castellanos, Professor Sarah Church, Professor Lizette Colon, Professor Ross Flek, and Ms. Sandra Williams and their students presented their e-Portfolios to the college community

May 4, 2012:               Education Technology Showcase—Students presented their e-Portfolios to the attendees

March 21, 2012:         Subcommittee on E-Portfolio Rubrics and Guidelines was formed:  Professor Sandra Castellanos, Professor Sandy Figueroa, Dr. Richard Gampert, Mr. Carlos Guevara and Professor Catherine Lewis

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013

  1. Present a draft of e-Portfolio guidelines and rubrics to the committee members for their approval;
  2. Establish an e-Portfolio Showcase Contest.  The winner(s) will receive a monetary award and compete in the CUNY-wide e-Portfolio Showcase at LaGuardia Community College;
  3. Encourage faculty and staff to complete their own e-Portfolios and share them at the Education Technology Showcase in the spring semester;
  4. Continue to use the CTL on Tour as a venue to present e-Portfolio and encourage faculty and staff to create their own e-Portfolios and incorporate e-Portfolio in their syllabi;
  5. Assess the value of e-Portfolio as a pedagogical practice in assessing the effectiveness of teaching and learning and keeping track of the number of faculty and students using e-Portfolios.
